10 ways to build trust with your potential customers.
As we have heard over and over for someone to purchase from you online they have to know, like and trust you. In the past I have talked about getting people to know you, building your bucket one. Today let’s talk about the like and trust. Chances are if they are following you they already like you but may not trust you yet.
How do you build that trust?
Connect with your potential, do you have the same interests, birthday month, age of kids or grands, find a personal connection and talk about that.
Ask the deep questions, the hard ones. If you ask simple questions, you are building a simple relationship. If you ask the deep questions, you are building a deep relationship. Anyone can ask simple questions, don’t be anyone, be different.
Be relatable. You have heard me say this in the past but lets dig deeper. Your potential makes a post about their issue or they come to you about their issue. Be very venerable, tell them your story (if you don’t have a story, tell them someone else’s story that you know personally. Call that person by name) the harder it is to tell your story, the more venerable you are the more they will relate to you. Be raw, be authentic, be emotional so they become emotional. Especially if they come to you and have shown some interest in a post you have made.
Show you passion, show how much you believe in and care about your product or service. Passion is contagious, and when customers see that you’re invested, they’re more likely to trust you.
Tell them your why, Communicate the deeper purpose behind your business—why you started and what motivates you. Customers often resonate with a strong sense of purpose.
Insure complete privacy when they are telling you what their issues and pain points are. The more they feel comfortable that you are not going to talk about them the more they are willing to be open with you.
Send private testimonials, share stories. I personally like to share 3 and include a picture with them. Make sure they are of the same issues your potential is having.
Highlight industry awards, certifications, or endorsements, show your company’s credibility. With things changing in the MLM world this is very important. If your product has a patented tell them, this is a big deal, your company worked hard for this so it cannot be copied. If you are offing a “not me too” product, share that. Does everyone know what a “me too” product is? If your company has a product that no one else has, that is a not me-too product, meaning when your customer talks to someone else in a different MLM they can’t say “me too, we have that same product”. You want your potential to buy from you and not your competitor but never ever ever talk bad or neg about your competitor.
Be Transparent About Company Values. Share their mission, values, and ethics to connect with customers on a deeper level and demonstrate corporate responsibility. For example, does your company have a money back guarantee? Be transparent about your values and how they align with your company.
Build a strong referral program. If you have customers who take and love your product or service but will not post Encourage them to recommend your products to others. Word-of-mouth referrals often come with built-in trust.
Although you are selling a product or a service you don’t want to come across as only looking for the sale. Being relatable and emotional shows them you are there to help with whatever their pain point, issue is or service they need.
